Green Genes

Green Genes

Daybreak illuminates orchards
Apples unable to reproduce

Trees grow amid bloodshed
Leaves stripped to form a demonic pact

Heart abundant
with the devil’s delight

Fruits of festering frustration
ripened by ridicule?

Farmers must reach sainthood
after the death of purpose

Purity of their labor
prevailing amid corruption

We as organisms could
modify our own genetics

evolving without
chemical castration
