Recoil

Recoil

I hit a wall

Fast and hard

Slammed it full-body,

From words

Propelled like bullets

And you, the triggerman.

I never dreamed that

Mere words could

Scream across a room,

Fiery projectiles,

And drill into my chest

A cavity deeper than

A black hole.
