Midday Naptime

Midday Naptime

I had a dream this afternoon

And you were in it.

I have no idea what happened

In this dream

Or what it was all about –

I just remember you being in it.

I close my eyes now

And I see your shoulder

And the side of your face.

That’s it.

I woke up

With the sun tilting in

Through the bottom of the window.

I looked at the window

And then I looked at the clock

And then I thought about other things.

I may have been kissing you

In my dream

Or maybe you were killing me

But

Probably both.
