Vanishing Land

A sunny day can be eerie

With all its shadows and suspect sounds

A night can be ideal

With good sleep and no howls

I don’t know why I am the way I am

And that’s okay

This is all my luck

This is all I got

Words on a page

Exhausted by another day of the dead

Asking us to recreate

What we never had

We need to rest

It’s only a matter of time

Before they know all the secrets

You’ve got more choice

I’ve got no choice

It’s better

It’s worse

It’s quiet

It’s louder

You’ve got no future

I’ve got a future

It’s better

It’s worse

It’s quiet

It’s louder

Saying it to ourselves

Our thoughts are at a distance

And knowing the message was transmitted

Only hoping it will be received

We have learned nothing

And forgot everything

Let’s learn again
