Pure Words

Pure Words

The eternity you seek will never last.
The fates will come into play and
they will eat up century after century
as Death rides his victory horse.

The past is all you will have. Stick
to pure words, especially if you
are a poet. Either drunken or in squalor,
the pure words will be your riches.

Endless wars will come to earth.
If you cannot avoid them, fight for
justice and equality. The world is

a disaster of our own making. We
let this happen, throwing stone after
stone, letting our dark sides out.

  1. Those mining their souls for contact with the Muse may find a greater presence than mere Art. They may find God.
