Let Down

Let Down

I’m on the edge

peering down at crawling lies,

unwrapping why they found my worth.

Take this good hand

and shake it with hurt,

I’m sinking with all who are gone.

This garden has flowered

watered with salty words,

now trampled under broken care.

I’ll fly to honest skies

sail on air made just for me,

somewhere that has no end.
