The Long View

 The Long View

 Somewhere between its ends

             is the rainbow.

I carry two sacks of gold,

            which I hoard

as if gold is the rainbow's only reason for existing.

They are heavy.

If I set them down,

             perhaps I could climb

high enough to reach the middle.

I could see everything from there
