Genesis & the Genome / Rosa Parks / War Weary / Hunger

Genesis & the Genome

Past, Present, & the Future

we were, now are, and will be

Genesis & the Genome

many interpretations

infinite forms & beauty

Darwin daydreams, then creates

we look out to look within

Rosa Parks

Rosa Parks, a true hero

Having passed through our world

She sat still many years back

Yes, she was a poor seamstress

Yet, she was an activist

She worked, she trained, and she prayed

One inspires another

War Weary

now it’s thousands of soldiers

and so many others dead

Iraqis, Americans

the cure’s worse than the disease

way too many are grieving

way too many dollars wasted

for oily misleaders

Hunger

a child, so weak, crying

mother, so helpless, crying

yet our eyes are not wet

lethargy and confusion

except for pangs of hunger

without moral pangs for us

food is now a weapon. why?
