Crusted rolling hills

olive rows almonds

parched purple thistle

growing out of nothing

sand crunches underfoot

slight slide rumble

mountain goat leaps

climbing heat counting

iron grille steps

Tiscar Tower where

Griffin vultures soar

circling and enthralling
