Sometimes It Hits Me

Sometimes It Hits Me

A kind of friction when

I realize that I spend most

of my time alone

Out running I pass a guy

coming this way who looks

—well, just like me

And then he’s gone

I’m gone, I mean, and I only

wish I knew his name
