Bones

 

He started out

as a bone

that was buried

like a seed.

 

Next thing you know

flesh covered

the bone and hair

filled the flesh.

 

A whole person

was fashioned

and there were more

bones and a

 

head that spoke and

howled like a

wolf. There was a

moon above

 

that was formed from

a flash of

lightning. The stars

came from it

 

as well and the

birds grew from

the tiniest

bones. Their song

 

filled the sky and

their flight was

borne from magic

man couldn’t learn.
