A Liar
I hated my mother,
because she often told a lie
for her own sake.
I hate liars,
although I sometimes tell
a lie.
But I like you,
you who are always
truthful
except about the lover
you once had and
you might still be in love
with, that
you never admit.
That’s your kindness to me.
