A Perfect Year

A Perfect Year

A two-season year

Spring and fall

Yin and yang

From buds

To bountiful flowers

And pale

To dark green leaves

Then the change

Just at the peak

Of perfection

As the days recede

And the glorious colors

Of fall appear

Reds and yellows

Orange and gold

And the leaves fall

A full cycle

To be reborn

In spring
